Default lowering a 96 f150

i am new here and dont know much about this site so ...i got a 1996 f150 twin i-beam and i was wondering what would be a good size drop in the front and rear without useing to much money. is there any do's or donts about doing this. some pics would be nice thanks.

there are two ways, 3 inch drop beams are best but expensive, and then coil springs which you can get 1,2,or 3 inch and the are cheaper but not the best ride quality. its up to you, hope that helps. coils are about 100-150 beams are 250 or more i cant remember.
