Why lose the capability of arguably the toughest truck on the market for looks? Get a flip kit!

Sorry didn't even read what I read before lol. I have since installed a 4" flip in rear and am very happy with it.

I was trying to get the look you are. I don't want a flat look. No one seems to want to do anything but flat. I like a raked look. Im not considering taking a leaf out just passing on the information.

I know now that not all of the above information is correct. I just had my 2016 RCSB rear springs dearched by a place that builds springs. They were able to drop the rear 2 3/4". If anything it might ride better not worse. All the springs (overload and all) are still there just some of the curve taken out. It will handle the same weight but hit the factory bump stops sooner because there is less distance to travel (3 1/2").

My 2016 is 2 1/2" higher in the rear but my 2013 was only a little over 1 1/2" higher.

The flip kits drop the rear twice as much causing you to remove the factory bump stops and still not giving you much travel.

Now I will drop the front 1 1/2" to 2" with Belltech struts and put Belltech shocks on the rear.

I have a 3/4 drop that looks perfect. Here is a pick of it loaded with my 5th wheel, about 1500+ lbs of payload.

With a flip kit I would be riding on the axle and have zero travel when towing or carrying a load.

If you plan on using your truck to haul and carry a load that is the way to go. With a flip kit you would need air bags to do what you are doing. That would be another expense.

Mine will basically be a 2/3 drop that will still function like a truck.
