Default Air bags

Air Lift 59570 Ride Control will this work with my 2017 Ford F150 4x4 supercrew that has maxtrac 2 inche lowering shackles and block removed. Just looking to add air bags. And if I wanted to go just a little bit lower in the rear could I remove the overload leaf spring? If I add air bags wouldn't that take care of removing the overload leaf spring with towing? And would it affect the ride any by removing the overload leaf spring? Thanks

I have not yet found a bag solution to fit a non-flipped lowering job.

I've been looking pretty hard at options. Air Ride Slam Air is for up to 2014, I am not sure why they do not list for a 2015 and up. IHC is for flip kits...

Somehow, I think a combination of kits may get this done, but cannot get anyone to commit, and don't want to buy 2 more kits to find out. I can tell you that the Air Ride 5000 set won't fit at all. Not enough space.

I have come to fond out the Firestone Ride-Rite 2582 kit will work as long you have 8 inches of clearance from frame to inside of tire. I measured last night and I have 9 inches so it should work. I found a Torque brand air bag kit that is a direct replacement for Firestone kit.. have u looked it up?

Interesting. Do you have a photo of one installed on a lowered truck?

I purchased the Air Ride Slam Air kit for the 04-14 F150, and it looks like it will fit. I did not have time to get out to the shop to try yet.

I think the difference is a slight frame shape that you have to adjust spacers to. I am definitely interested in how the Firestone would fit as well.

We shall see if this fits. I ordered from Prime, just so I could send it back if it does not fit.

I called Firestone. They state this will not work on a lowered truck, but also do not have a measurement of the installed height of the system. Basically, they hear "lowered", and say NOPE!

Honestly, I think it might work, maybe with some mods to the lower bracket. I was half poised to order it to try, but think I will at least see if the Air Ride Slam Air will work first.

I have a flip so its not same as yours ,my brackets are welded under the axle inbound the leafs which gives me my 3" back and the upper bracket mounted to inner side of frame

I called Firestone also and got the same answer you did. I haven't seen any pictures of the Firestone bags on a truck. I've just about decided to go with a 4 inch flip kit and use ihc air bags. Send pics of the slam air kit if you try to see if fits cause that might be the way I go if it works for you.
