This is what mine look like after a year and a half. Of course Belltech only warranties the bushing for 1 year, and they don't sell the bushings only. Soooo Belltech/KW got the last penny they'll ever get from me, f:censored:kers....

I think I see Bilsteins and DJM control arms in my very near future.

I'm pretty sure mine look like that as well. These struts leave a little to be desired to say the least.

there is a overhang lip on all of them. Do the cracks actaully go into the inside of the base which the sleeve is molded into?

Hard to tell, judging by that missing piece at the top on the right side it may only be in the overhang. But still, that doesn't seem right to me.

Overhang is thin excess when they hot mold it. If cracks extend into the sleeve area making sleeve move around then that's where there is a warranty issue

I know you're an expect and all, but I disagree. The overhang is not just excess that's left over. That is also what keeps the strut centered in the control arm, so it's certainly not excess material.

Regardless of what it's purpose is, it shouldn't be falling apart after a year and a half and it's just poor quality control by Belltech. I don't see any other bushings on my truck falling apart after less than 2 years, like the Hellwig anti-sway bars for example. And Belltech's response of not selling replacement bushings and telling me that I was basically just shiz out of luck is not appropriate. They obviously don't stand behind the quality of their product. Yes, those kinds of parts do wear out, but they're not supposed to wear out that soon.

Best thing to do is actually look at the inside edge of bushing. If its a bad bushing sleeve is moving then warranty issue.

I understand what your saying but I do tons of these trucks. Overhang edge I've seem same way but internal bushing/sleeve is fine

Since they are over 1 year old Belltech won't warranty them even if the bushing inside is also broken. I was told 2 years on the strut, 1 year for the bushing. Screw that noise, I'll be happier with the DJM control arms and Bilstein struts that have a lifetime warranty. I will probably buy extra bushings and ball joints from DJM while I can though, in case they go out of business or something.

And speaking of DJM, please send me the tracking info for those arms I ordered when they ship. Timelines are kinda tight on my end and would like to be able to schedule appt. with shop to get them installed.

Cut your loses before you snap a strut like I did, with my family in the truck. They warrantied it quick, but who cares about that when its just dangerous. I'm not the first and sure not the last. I was told it was my fault. I've never seen a company send you new parts that fast when it's allegedly " installation error". I've bagged trucks, body dropped trucks, done motor swaps, lowered countless cars and trucks. I'm sure I'm capable of a simple static drop. Don't even get me started on the squeaking and creaking rear end after the drop. Again TONS of people with that issue. Bell tech can't help on that one either. All in all bell tech is just another mediocre company putting out mediocre parts.

Sorry for the rant when I see these bell tech treads it pisses me off. I should have learned my lesson with them years ago when I bought a set of the drop leaf spring. Once installed the truck sat 2" lower on on e side that the other. That truck only had 12,000 miles on it so it wasn't an old wore out truck. Seems there quality hasn't changed a lot.
