the question for me is if having spacers that are stud centered will cause wheel balance issues. I think i'm going to buy a set and try it out.

thanks for reminding me about this Stolen98....

I use 1/4" billet aluminum spacers on all 4 wheels....zero balance issues of vibrations all the way up to 100 mph.

I also had this problem, I purchased a 1/4" spacer on Ebay. Problem solved.

Interesting that all 3 of you with the offset rear have RC trucks... I can't say that I've noticed it on my truck, but I haven't looked too closely. I'm fairly certain it came from the factory that way and you just never noticed it since the rear sat up so high, now that the tire is closer to the fender it's easier to discern the difference.

I think you're probably right.

I may take my rear wheels off (kmc slides) and have wheels America widen them perhaps 1.25". That would allow me to run a 305 tire without having fender clearance issues. FWIW, I've done this a couple of times. I had a set of wheels widened for an old mustang I had, and I had a set of wheels narrowed for a s197 mustang I used to have before 17" skinnies were available for those cars.
