You caused the vibration not the 2? drop. you think the factory would allow 1000 lbs in the bed to cause a driveline vibration!?!?!

The shim didn't hurt anything but there is no need.

Installing drop shackles is not the same as putting a load on the truck.... Drop shackles on these trucks will effect the u joint angles much more than the older trucks that have shorter leaf springs.

Definitely changes the pinion angle more than the stock springs with a load would ever allow. Heck, the top of the shackle almost touches the bottom of the bed.

Just remember to make sure the pinion shims are mounted fat side to the rear. The other way around definitely didn't work.

Looks good. I also have the 2.5* shims installed yet i'm still getting some vibes. Anyone have experience with dropping the carrier bearing? Is this a more simple fix opposed to getting 4* shims and having to put a longer spring pin?

Instead of guessing at which shims you need, you can take the truck to a shop and just have them measure your pinion angle. They'd be able to tell you exactly what you need.

The urge to drop the front will hit in a few months, if not sooner... trust me.... But it looks great!
