Default anyone pull the fenders on their truck bed?

I'm going to make the switch from 275/55/20's on the rear to 305/50/20's in the near future. From all the online offset calculators and from what I can see with a level and ruler, there will probably be a tiny bit of tire outside the rear fender. I found this video of this guy pulling and stretching the fenders on a chevy truck. He gained about 2 inches, but I only need about 3/4" to keep the tires under the fenders. Looking at my truck, it seems it would be simple to do. Anyone around her do this?

Not since the 90’s but I’ve done it a few times.

Never had any problems. I didn’t watch the vid...we used to just cut all the supports and wedge a bottle jack between two 2x4’s...push it out to where we wanted it and rewelded the supports/added more to hold the fender in its new place.

I was considering something similar to what you described. The video has the guy cutting the inner fender wells and adding spacers to push the whole side of the bed out and the welding tabs across the gap to keep everything in place. He gained about two inches doing that but I wont need nearly as much. According to all the tire and wheel offset calculators, the new tires will stick out .6 further than the existing ones, and that's at the widest point. The tread itself would remain a hair inside the fenders.
