Air shocks
Has anyone tried air shock instead of an air bag kit with an axle flip kit. I don't tow or carry heavy stuff in the bed. It will be more to prevent axle frame hitting issues.

Try throwing in a set of short button head bumpstops. That stopped mine from bottoming out on all but the worst bumps. For $15 it's worth a shot....I gained about an inch of extra travel before it can bottom out.

I will try that.

I put some monroe air shocks on mine, they work great.

i had lowered 05 Silverado that I installed air shocks on. They worked fine but I used them in tandem with the stock original shocks. the stock shocks served as ride control and I used the air shocks for hauling towing when needed. most of the time i ran them with a minimum amount of air. this truck had a frame notch so they were used solely for towing/hauling. i had also removed the overload springs.

I run the Monroe Air Shocks on my 16 screw, pull a trailer regularly with no issues. Ride quality is great with or without a load.
