Default 305 or Wider Tires?

Anyone lowered and running a tire wider than a 305? Can we get a pics of what you ARE running? 285, 295, and 305.... Thanks, just wonder about going wider than 305, at least in the rear.

I think you're offset will make the difference. And tire height. I was running the 305/50's on 20x9 and a +25. I honestly think you could maybe run a little wider than the 305. A coworker and I were looking at mine when it was dropped and I think I could've carefully fit an 11" wide wheel in there with a slightly wider tire than 305(on the 2/4 drop).

How wide are you thinking?

To get an absolutely perfect fit you may be looking at having wheels made.
Finding something over 10" wide off the shelf with the right offset will be a challenge.
That said I run a 285 on a 10" wheel now but will definitely go to a 305 next time.
The expense of getting an 11 or 12" wheel stuffed under the rear via a custom wheel plus the oddball 315-325 tire size is more effort than it's worth for me....and I'm one of the idiots that has put a 5 figure set of one-off wheels on a lowered truck just to get that perfect fit before.

Lol I wish a 345 but that's not gonna happen. I have a 2/4 drop and 24x10 wheels with a +30et. Plan was originally 305/35/24's but wondering if 315's would fit.

Do you think there's enough clearance in the rear wheel well to run an 11" wide wheel at a +30mm offset with a 305/40R22?

When I mounted my 305/50/20's I was thinking there was enough room but I never actually measured it.

Here is mine on a 305/40 with 22x9.5" wheels with a +30 offset.

I think you'd need more offset wheels to fit anything wider.

Yeah I often reference your truck! My wheels are spec'd the same, +30et, but they are 24"and 10" wide.... I guess I'll stick to the 305's this time around and see how much more space I have after they are mounted. Do you think I'll have to remove the rear wheel well inserts? I bought some Husker brand but looks like I may need to remove them to fit the new wheels/tires.

Your wheels will already stick out a 1/4" more than mine then, since it is wider. I wouldn't chance a wider tire if I were you. That being said, wider definitely look sweeter! Maybe one day I'll run a 335+ after the truck is bagged.

I don't know how much space the wheel well inserts take up. But there is a bit of clearance in there, so you might be okay. I'll see if i can try to snap a couple pics for you.
