I did the install in my driveway, nothing too hard about it.

Looks awesome I'm thinking about getting the same kit. Just wanted to make sure I hate the look when people put the back lower then the front.

Thanks for the quick response, I guess tomorrow I’ll show my guys you picture and see what they have to say. I get around with a 4 wheel walker, waiting on two new knees. So doing install myself is out. But lowered truck would be life saver on a daily basis.

Belltech struts are ok. I used them when I finally decided on my franken drop....

I started out with the Belltech 1000SP, didnt like how the instructions had me attch the carrier bearing, so before I ever unboxed this kit I sold it. Bought the Mcgaughy's 2/4 loved the kit but wasnt low enough and didnt like still using the front oem strut and spring.....soooo I bought another set of Belltech lowering struts, Maxtrac 2" lowering spindles, Maxtrac 1" lowered coil springs, and Maxtrac 1" lowering shackles, and Fox 2.0 shocks in the rear. Went with the Belltechs because NO kit gives 100% advertised drop on every truck...the adjustment rings with the Belltech allows you to dial in the drop to your taste in 1/4" increments....t The spindles preserve geometry. LOVE my spindles.

Danlong, did you flip the axle over the springs?

Yes, that's how a flip kit works... The axle gets relocated from below the spring pack to above it. The 1001SP kit also includes an extra set of brackets that go into the front leaf mounts and lift shackles for the rear of the leafs to raise the truck back up a bit as a flip kit only will drop the rear about 6" on our trucks.

Danlond, when you installed the rear flip kit did you use the supplied 3 degree pinion shims that came with the kit and if so did it corect the drive line angle? I installed them and have a driveline vibration between 20 and 30 mph. Any info would be appriciated.

Yes and no... I tried it with the included (but really crappy) shims and had a vibration in that same range. I tried it with no shims and it was even worse. I then had a set of custom 5-degree shims made (that properly fit our double bolt leaf pack) and it's better but still not perfect. I've been meaning to look into it further but haven't really had the time and I'm not 100% sure I'm leaving the truck as it currently sits so I haven't worried too much about it.

Thanks for the info. I am going to replace the 3 degree shim with a 6 degree steel shim and see how that works out.

I installed the kit myself. Very easy and got full 3/5.5 drop.
