18 RCSB 4x4 questions....
 

So, before I order parts I have a few questions to clarify. (Yes, I have read all of the lowering threads. Just want to be positive before I order.)
Truck is a 2018 RCSB 4x4, FX4 if it matters.

1. Do the Maxtrac 2wd 2" lowering spindles for sure work with the 4x4?
2. How much shorter does the driveshaft need to be? Do you have a length?
3. Going with a 22x10 +30 wheel and a 3/5.5 drop can I get away with a 305/45 or do I need a 40 series to not rub?

The unfortunate thing is you have to run ugly 20" or larger wheels with spindles, can't run nice 17s or 18s.

I'm running 305/50/20's with at least a 5.5" drop, if not more and I have no rubbing issues. Wheels are 20x9 with a +35 offset.

Plug you numbers into a wheel offset calculator to see if they work. I had my fender lips rolled in back just in case, however I don't think they would have rubbed anyway. You can use my tire and wheel dimensions for the calculator and your new wheels and tires....the point is, mine don't rub and the truck's pretty slammed, so you could compare your numbers to mine to get an idea. The numbers I gave are for the back. Fronts are 275/55/20 on the same rim. 20x9 +35 offset

edit: I plugged your numbers into the calculator. Your tires are .8 taller than mine, but the important number is .4 as that's the radius so it's the one that matters. I think you'll be ok, but rolling the fenders might be an option if you have rubbing issues.

maybe a 40 series tire would be better if you don't have someone local that can work on the fender lips.

I appreciate your opinion, but I don't feel 20"+ wheels are ugly on trucks these days with the large wheel wells on trucks. Only reason to run smaller diameter wheels in my opinion is to fit drag tires or if you are a rock crawler and need the large sidewall.

Spindles won't work on the Ford due to the dropped hub occupying the same space as the strut. You may be confusing this spindle working with the Chevy one which is laid out differently. 2wd struts, lowering springs, drop arms, drop struts/coil overs are your options for the front.

According to another guy, (he sent me a picture of his truck), they do work. I personally have no experience though, I might just have to order them and see.
