Looking at selling my 2003 5.4 XLT Supercab. 217K miles, Truck mechanically is in perfect condition as I mainly take this truck back and forth to the cabin (400 mile round trip) on the weekends. Mainly was just a third vehicle (toy hauler) for me, Truck has some rust on the bed, see pictures. Otherwise for a 2003 and a Wisconsin truck it's in excellent shape for the age. I've seen much much worse. Oil changed every 3K miles, trans fluid changed every 40K.
Right now, it just started leaking transmission fluid out of the line coming out of the cooler (rusted line) which is like a 10 minute fix. Also, steering box has gained some play recently as well. Truck drives straight as an arrow, but wheel is not dead center in the truck. Also has an airbag light on, only because I swapped drivers seat due to original having a tear. (I have both seats) and haven't had time to dig into the light when its 10 degrees out!
Truck is a great runner, and wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere. I'm just ready to get into a 13th gen and found a deal on something that makes more sense to upgrade at this point. Looking to get $3500 OBO once I get the time to get the steering box/trans line fixed. If you'd prefer fixing yourself I can work out a deal to compensate for the minor parts it needs.
I have 2 of the 2003 (Limited Edition Heritage) edition F150, not to be confused with the 2004, or the Harley Davidson Editions, which are totally different.
These models have a unique red badge. (The 2003 Heritage Edition was different from the 2004 Heritage models.
Everyone saying it's the 04' Heritage is wrong. There was in fact an 03' Heritage,
with custom interior and exterior to celebrate 100 years of the F150 line. Only
15k were ever produced.)
I may need to sell one, as I do not have room to store it. Both are original, no mods. Both also have the steel body's which were prone to rust at the cab. They will be collectible, approx, 60-70% still on the road. I'm trying to come up with a fair price.........
