It will be a week before I can post a pick, as I'm in Canada on a business trip. Because of the size of the black plastic piece the console snaps onto, the package will be long. This black bracket goes the length of the roof, to the rear overhead light. At least 30 bucks for packaging and shipping.

 

I'm not sure I understand, why does the bracket go all the way back? More and more ppl are telling me I need the one that goes in a truck that had a sun roof.... I'm not familar with how they mount or how they wire up but don't want the rail system that goes all the way back ,just the front console. And also I'm in no hurry so if you can post some live that would be great.have a nice time in o' Canada.

 

I too questioned the reason why Ford had such a long plastic piece to hold the somewhat short console....this black piece mounts to the front, and to the back where the rear overhead light is (at least on my standard cab), but this assembly came out the smaller of the extended cabs (screw or scab, whichever is smaller).

Here is a pic of the console (I took it off of an Ebay sale). It's the console I have. I could not find a pic of the black part that mounts under the headliner that this console snaps onto. I will either keep searching, or post a pic of it Saturday.

 

What year model is this one from?

 

An 05 model. It will fit all 04 to 08 models with the extended type cab (not a standard cab).
