Autotrader? Cars.com? It's still rough selling a used vehicle. There's always someone looking for what you have, you just have to put it in front of them.

Probably need to just drop the price considerably. You started out asking more than the Clean Retail value. Thats the number that a dealership could ASK for as it sits on their lot and it has probably had technicians looking over it and some money put into it. Selling big V8 engines are becoming more and more difficult as every person that watches TV is told how much the gas prices are going to get, so us guys with trucks can not expect to get anywhere close to the clean retail. I have an 08 for sale and I am asking below the "Clean Trade In value" and I am not getting any hits on it either. The clean trade in on your truck is $2k cheaper than you're asking now, and thats a pretty tough bullet to bite for anyone. I think its a really clean looking truck and it reminds me of my last truck, but I dont think you'll be able to to get anywhere close to what you're asking. Might be better off letting a roommate move in and keep the nice truck. Thats my .02.

While i understand most of what you're saying it actually is listed in autotrader in good private party retail for my zip code at $17,500 and trade in value was $14,500 so i was actually dead on estimated value. Now being at $15,500 i am $2,000 below private party retail and only $1,000 above trade in value. You also have to understand that i work at Home Depot, a Tire Store and a Motorcycle dealership. I have MANY friends, coworkers and customers spending anywhere from $15k to $60k on trucks right now. While i understand the economy may be hurting the majority of the population there is still a select few people out there who still have money in their pockets and are willing to spend accordingly for a good vehicle in really good shape and are not willing to buy new. Luckily i am able to continue making payments every month and am not at a point where i am worried about a repo man coming for my truck and until that time i'll keep waiting on someone who knows what they want and are willing to pay for it.
