Default Zip tie mod

I found this mod over a year ago on another forum and decided to do a write up on here. Its a free mod that just uses zip ties. I have had this on my truck for a year now and love it. I increased throttle response and feel. I did this and it felt like I was driving a brand new truck. All my buddies are surprised about my throttle response when they drive my truck.

All you need is some zip ties. The bigger the better but you may need some smaller ones to fill in.

First pull the gas pedal towards you and see how much slack is in the cable. The throttle cable stretches over time.

Next take a zip ties and lop it and get it pretty small so its easier to tighten under the dash

Next tighten it all the way down and continue to add more till all the slack is gone.

Once you have all you ties tight on the cable you can go ahead and clip off the extra

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

So zip tie the throttle cable to dash and it gets rid of the slack from the cable

not the dash. Basically just taking the slack out by "moving" the end point of the cable

I never thought about using a zip toe. About a year ago I smasked a big led fishing sinker onto my cable end in the same spot.

I did this a while back too, I saw it online. It definitely works.. just makes the pedal more "touchy"

I used fishing weights on mine a long time ago. Raises the pedal back to factory height
