Yea I wasn’t doing it for “performance” myself. Just picked this 1998 up and came across this and figured why not when I checked my slack. It’s a 4.2 I mean I’m not trying to race it. Just make daily driving better

Just make sure your pedal travel doesn't exceed the throttle blade opening, or you may further stretch that cable, and/or break it if you "stand on the pedal."

thank you
I’ll have the wife push the pedal for me when we’re home together to double check

In my opinion, the only time this mod should be used is if/when the throttle blade does *not* open fully when the pedal is pushed to the floor, and then only enough slack should be taken up so it does. This mod does have its place, but as a "problem-fixer," not a "performance-enhancer."
Wait! So you're saying that this is not the cheapest performance enhancer EVER INVENTED ?!!!!

LOL!
Lots of people *think* it's a gotta-have, gotta-do, works like magic mod, when reality is, if the throttle is already wide open when the pedal's to the metal, then this mod es no bueno.

If you have that much slack in your throttle cable my friend (Silverskoundrel) it may be fraying. If so, you may loose throttle sooner than later.

I'd keep my eye on the throttle cable, just some advice.

No, it's not. The stick-on hood scoops and fender induction ports are.

You should try using the magic eraser on your steering wheel when it gets all shiny from your oils of your hands. It will bring all the shiny leather back to life, its el cheapo too.

it will also bring those faded exterior black plastics like your honeycomb grill back to life with out using back bto black stuff.....

With that being said, the magic eraser is meant to be used wet at all times and with little pressure while doing the job. Warning - the harder you press the more potential scratches you may incur, just a warning.

That being said I went from this to this on a dakota i am trying to sell -

Before magic eraser

After magic eraser
