Bro, you need to check yourself. I posted so people wouldn't be mislead into thinking by messing with the throttle cable you'll transform your truck, or boost the horsepower. It's not the best idea for every dick and harry to go tying stuff on their throttle cables lol.
I apologize if your the inventor of this "mod", or somehow feel a sense of defensive nature to it.
And don't worry, mines tucked well in my pants, while you feel the need to whip yours out telling us all how much more you understand everything about something. Gah, I don't know why yall have to ruin posts so much. Anytime anyone puts a negative opinion on a mod, a tire, an exhaust or an individuals own idea, yall feel the need to use the secrecy of the internet to just lash out at them to make yourself feel bigger. So with that, congratulations...i hope you have satisfied your self need for the day.

I just re-read the entire thread. At no point does a single post mention anything
about this turning their truck into a "drag car." You should check YOUR sour
attitude at the door because otherwise, this thread was a pretty pleasant one.

Well I finally got a chance to look under my dash and sure enough about 3/4" of slack. Since I get home late from work every night I will definitely be breaking out the zip ties this weekend.

WOT is where it will make the most difference. I did this over a year ago when I first heard about it.
The reason I did it was after seeing the throttle position on my Edge wouldn't go past 90% at WOT. After 2 zip ties, it will hit 99%.

Exactly this ^^. I just added some zip ties and just about flung myself into my seat when I first stepped on the accelerator. WOT feels a little quicker and it feels like I have REGAINED some of the lost power from the cable being stretched.
