ZF 6 speed swap
I own a 2002 F150 with the 7700 lb payload package. I am interested in swapping the 4r100 auto in my truck for a ZF6 manual. I know my mechanic can take car of all of the mechanical aspects of the swap, so I really only have two questions regarding figment:
1. Will I need to install a 3" body lift to clear the transmission?
2. Can I simply cut a hole in the floor pan for the shifter, or will heavier modification need to be done? (I also already have the 4x4 lever on the floor)

If you have a 4wd it will be more complicated. If its 2wd you will need a transmission, flywheel from a V10 powered superduty. Also you will need a 3" body lift. It will require a transmission mount to be fabricated. You may also need a driveshaft along with the slip yoke that goes with a ZF6.
