I bought a set on Wednesday for $150 and he delivered them, They are in better shape than the ones on my teal 98. Extremely clean clean coat. I was sure that they were going to be scratched up for that price, but told the guy I'd take them. You could of knocked me over with a feather, when I saw them up close. Like new.

You are absolutely right about the costs on eBay for those FX4 wheels you are wanting. I found another set, today, with 265R70's on them for $400, complete. They were in fairly good shape, but I don't need another set, so I passed on these. I'm gonna post an ad for a single wheel, and save it for a spare, if I can get one at the right price.

Don't feel bad. I forgot Ford changed the Expedition to 6-lug in' 03, so I have a set of near-perfect '03 Expy wheels, center caps and lugs for sale on CL right now. I didn't notice until I was counting out the nuts and wondered why there were extras.

You're lucky lol I'll fork the money over one day to get what I want. I like them better than what everyone else gets. The black, bolted style looking rims don't do it for me

You also need to make sure the Studs will fit. 00-04 F150 studs are 14mm that requires 21mm socket to remove the nut. Older models use smaller stud (12mm) that requires 19mm socket.

Using 18" wheels will reduce your GCWR (-1,000 lbs) and max trailer towing capacity (-1,000 lbs). Larger wheels will also increase your fuel consumption especially in city driving.

Did not know that about towing capacity and cvwr...hmm learned something new today. I'd like to just make it sit pretty, NTB has a buy 2 get 2 free right now for tires in my area. Im gonna check that out. Then hopefully get some fx4 rims somewhere

Default 18" Rims

Here is my 2001 Larait. Came with the rims. Tires are 285/60/R18. I have no problems with rubbing but I want tires that are more aggressive for when I am playing around the island. So many places you can not go without 4X4.

honestly what I'd do is get stock wheels 1 I believe they look better... 2 tire's are cheaper ( not as wide and not as big of wheel ) and you get more sidewall so you don't tear up your wheels off road. But if you get new tires BFG KO'2's would be about as good as it gets. I've found Firestone destination A/T's are a very good cheaper tire. Had mine for 11,000 miles and I've never been stuck and am able to go places in 2WD ( open diff) I couldn't get though in 4WD low with my old yokohoma H/T-S tires with more then 50% tread left on them. Got the firestones for $850 including road hazard and an alightment. Which isn't all that much for these trucks ( factory 265/70/R17's )

I have to agree with Ford fan's tire recommendations. The Destination A/T's on my wife's Escape have been great, and the KO2's have a very good reputation. So much so, that I just ordered a set of the BFG's for mine. I did sway from FF's stock wheel suggestion, though, and ordered some 17" Level 8 Punch wheels from Discount Tire. My only reservation is with future replacement. Stock wheels will most likely always be readily available. Matching aftermarket after a number of years, not so much.
