Default Worth the money...?

I'll try to be short. Looking at my friends 2002 Screw. He is the original owner. 90,000 miles and very, very well taken care of. Completely dealer serviced it entire life. Completely stock except for wheels, tires, exhaust and grille. Stack of receipts for services and parts 2" thick since new. I literally don't think to rear seat has been sat on a half dozen times. White with gray factory flairs. Also has factory side steps. Absolutely mint, probably the cleanest I've ever seen. Now the hard part... is it worth $10,000. I know the old saying is it's worth what someone is willing to pay, but I see never trucks for the same money. I haven't examined these other trucks, but I've known this truck since day one. So what do you guys think?

Sounds like a really great deal.. i would just check and make sure the wheel and tire size hasnt had any affect on anything. I would def take that deal in a heart beat though

If he's taken care of it as good as you say, then I'd say it's probably got as much life left in it as those newer trucks, probably more.

Sorry. I was a little too vague. It is a XLT. Has the FX 4 package. It has the 5.4, never smoked in and the exhaust (cat back duals) is a month old. He is buying a Raptor and no longer needs this truck or else it would not be for sale.

if it's as mint as you say then 10,000$ sounds like a very reasonable price. I would offer 9,000 but wouldn't be upset with 10

The truck truely is spotless. He said just the other day that it does have 1 ding"but that I'll never find it". He has no kids and the truck also has a diamond plate tool box and a Ford bed liner (I forgot). The tires are 315/?/18 I believe. I will really have to examine it now that it is available.

Used pickup prices have gone insane. In my area, a 1999 Ranger now goes for $8,000 and they sell pretty quick. I looked it up. The same truck you describe is currently listed for $11,900 on Craigslist. There are only three F150's out of a thousand vehicles for sale. No one wants to sell their F150 because it is so expensive to get a new one.
If you could get it for $9,500 (and I bet you can) I would say it is a great price, especially since you know how the truck was treated.

Funny. I put a thread on here awhile ago and someone said my truck was worth maybe 10k to the right person. '99 supercab 4x4 5-speed, 4.6L loaded without leather. In showroom condition, seriously! Never seen rain or snow. Babied only on nice days. My truck has 85k fewer miles on it than the one your looking at. I guess my figure of 15k for the truck may not be enough, but I thought it was fair. I will have to see what I do get for it when it goes for sale in the next few weeks.
