Question wont start?! dont know why?

was driving my truck " 97 f150 4.6l v8" just died and wouldnt start up again. getting power to alt. and starter. wouldnt turn over at all ,thought the engine was siezed up. ended up being the ac comp. just put in the ac bypass pulley. now its trying to start but sounds like its not getting any fuel. fuel pump was replaced a year ago. not the fuel shut off.looked for the fuel pump driver module but couldnt find it. looked all around the spare tire but still couldnt fine it. dont know what it could be. any suggestions.????

Have you checked your battery for proper voltage? Put a fuel pressure gauge on it to make sure you are getting good fuel pressure, 35 psi to 45 psi.
A 97' doesn't have a fuel pump driver module, thats only for returnless systems that started in 04' on F150s.

the ac compressor was locked up. when i took off the belt the truck started and ran fine. i took off the ac compressor and put in the bypass pulley. truck wouldnt start. acted like it wasnt getting fuel. tried all of the above. thought well it start with the ac compressor on maybe try hooking up the electrical wires to the ac compressor maybe thats it. though it shouldnt be. so was looking at the plugs attached to truck that i secured and there were 3. well theres only 2 plugs on the ac compressor.. duh . took off a plug to get the ac comp. off didnt plug back. so pluged in and guess what started right up. feel stupid but cheap easy fix. just cost my time and a head ache. good thing i checked the wireing before i droped the tank.
