So you're saying the wind noise is from the windshield not sealed correctly? And the weatherstripping isn't really doing anything but covering the gap? Still original question tho, best thing to use to seal the weatherstripping? The driver side is stuck on solid whereas the passenger side is not

They are just caps.

Weather stripping is around the doors.

Did that work lol.

Yeah lol

So on my wind noise, I've adjusted the door before and I've done the dollar test and it's passed all along the door. While I was driving wife said it sounded like it came from the top rounded corner of the window. Said if she pushed on that weatherstripping that she thought the noise got worse. Wife isn't an expert tho and I haven't had a chance to ride in the passenger seat to diagnose. Any thoughts then?

Thanks for sticking with me through my stupid moments lol.

Well somebody help lol.

I'll try again, -The caps ARE glued or butlyed in so they don't fly away and they do somewhat seal but not totally. Your windshield is pressure into it own seal. Separately.

Well once you know how it's done....

The wife thing, - if that's the case the windshield seal has been compromised.

You could probably hodge podge a fix. But it may lead to worse things happening.

Ok so I guess I wasn't specific enough, I meant the passenger door window. I've adjusted the door to close tighter. And my wife pushed on the weather stripping that goes along the cab where the door meets the cab, while doing 70 down the interstate (I only notice the wind noise at 45-50+mph). Since you said it wasn't the caps (or that's what I took away from your post), I'm adjusting my thinking to something on/around the door as opposed to around the caps. Really just asking where wind noises commonly comes from; i.e. should i be checking the windshield or the door or what? I'm at a loss on where this wind noise is coming from

Sorry going on 4hrs of sleep and 30hrs of work in the last two days. My mind isn't thinking to clearly right now

Yea I was talking about the windshield all this time for nuttin. You foolish mortal, or was it me ? Frank it lol.

For those door leaks you pull the stripping loose at the bottom of the door up to where it's leaking and re-heal the stripping back in from the top back down to the door bottom. I had to do that on both sides of my doors at some point in the past. Nothing special (no gooey stuff needed) used but a rubber mallet. Make sure you work the stripping completely down as you go.

Lol no not the whole time, just the last two posts (I switched and was kind of vague). I did need the clarification of the caps vs weather stripping.

I'll try the door re-healing and let ya know how that goes. I'm out of town for work tho so it'll be a week or two but I appreciate the help! Thanks
