Windshield gasket sealant
What stuff should I use to seal the windshield gasket around the windshield? Buddy of mine suggested butyl caulk. Any suggestions or is butyl caulk the way to go? Thanks
Also to specify, not sealing the windshield itself but the gasket/trim that goes around it

Yea, it's the windshield, get it resealed. Ford Butyl was the old way, now they use window weld to reseal...last I heard anyway.
BTW you really need the re-seal, - they get worse and will eventually leak all across the bottom as well. Man, those leaks can cause some major $$$ fixing the harm they do.

On a side note, are you saying if I pulled it off and ran a hose down the windshield, that little piece gone would cause my windshield to leak???

So how is the weather stripping a windshield problem? I could pull it off and the windshield is still sealed to my truck... I'm confused
