Default Will these wheels fit???

Found these on Ebay. Says they will fit, but you know how that goes.
I have a 2000 RCSB 4.6 2WD.
Is my truck 12mm or 14mm stud? Does it matter for these wheels? And do i need to buy Flat bottom studs or tapered studs?

Those will fit just fine. Your truck should have 12mm studs (14mm came along in 2001). Chances are good those will use lugs with tapered seats. If you want to be sure ahead of time, I'd contact the seller.

Unless you're in a big hurry, you could just order the lugs after you get the wheels. On the other hand, if they can't take the time to check this simple thing, how good might their customer service be if you have a problem down the road?

From talking to him i could clearly tell he was in some type of office or call center, not in whatever warehouse the wheels are kept. And he tried several sources to find the info i was looking for. So the customer service was actually good. Just couldnt answer those questions for me.

Gotcha. Strange that wouldn't have that basic info as one of the spec-sheet facts, though.

Fyi: Those wheels were on my short list when I was looking.

Ohio...it was 2000 that was the split year for the 12mm and 14mm studs, not 01. The switch over date was 11/28/99 that they went to 14mm.

OP...The 12mm studs are 1.75. the 14mm are 2.0. Dorman, Bendix, Raybestoes, and most brake parts suppliers all have the washered lug nuts for the flat faced wheels. The aftermarket use a tapered lug nut. Using a tapered nut on a flat wheel, can cause problems in the long run. Same with the reverse use.

I'm assuming you have wheels on the truck now, right? How about a pic? The factory "spiral" aluminum wheels will have flat-faced lugs, as should the steelies. Your best bet in getting a set of those if you need them will be a junk yard (preferably one that allows you to pull them yourself). Ford gets about $7 *each* for the darned things. I got a full set for less $25.

Given you're on the cusp of the stud-size change (Ford could have started the transition in late 2000), you'll want to verify what size yours are. They will be either 14mm x 2.00 or 12mm x 1.75.

EDIT: I see AK beat me to it.

Now that I see that you are looking at FX4 recasts, they still use the flat washer style.

Here are the part numbers from Dorman and Raybestos for the replacement factory chrome capped nuts for the 12 and 14 mm studs.

14mm 611230 Dorman .... 10115N Raybestos
12mm 611228 Dorman .... 10113N Raybestos

This is what they all look like, just a bit bigger on the 14s.

Note: I have FX4 wheels on both my 98's and use 2 tapered lugs to set the wheels centered, then tighten the 3 flats, then replace the 2 tapers with the flats. It actually makes the wheels perfectly centered and stops the slight vibrations. People say the wheels are concentric fit, but they are still 1-2 mm off sometimes and can cause quite a vibration if they are not set right. This is my 4th set of these wheels, and I have it down to a science now. lol
