Will this sub box fit my truck???
I am looking into getting new subs for my 99 f150. I checked out this cheap box on Best Buys site. It says it fits and 2000 - 2003 f150 ext cab. Will this fit a 99 f150 extended cab???? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....026396:unsure:

Well just by looking at it, it appears like it would fit. Not sure about the ease of getting it into place is the thing. Too bad you can't see it in person before you buy it, that way you could tell for sure if it'll fit.
One thing for sure, the jack will have to be moved! No way around it with that box...I was able to just move mine over to the driver's side.
You may want to check around at some of your local stereo shops to see what boxes they sell. You may be surprised to find they have a deal going. Never hurts to look. One of the local shops here will build a box for you if they don't have the exact one you need and it wouldn't cost much more then the one you got linked at Best Buy.

if ur 99 is like my 97 you only have about 5" available under the seat. that box is 8 1/2" tall. unless you get a seat lift, theres no way. look into something like this http://www.soundoffaudio.com/item.cfm/id/903

It don't so much look like a height issue as it does the layout. It looks like the 97-99's don't have the center leg for the rear bench. The box that's made for the 97/99's doesn't have the cutout for the center leg...

My 97 has the split rear. I ordered the box from www.sonicelctronix.com and I had to cut the welds to the seat stiffener and remove it. Remove the center (off centered) support. Raise the seat 3/4". And the seat no longer folds. The box had a cut out for the center support but when all the way against it the box stuck out from under the seat 4+ inches.
Good luck, putting in 2 tens sucked and finding the right depth took some work too. MBQuart DWI 254 do rock though.

Bleeds FORD Blue
I disagree. If his seat is like my 99, the seat is split but it has a steel base. the seat folds forward. Unlike the 01 my bro has, and Im sure on many others, the seat folds up. So Im sure it would work for 00 to 03 but probably not a 99

i got a 2005 f150, and it depends on how hard you want the sub to hit. i got a custom box made for mine that was big enough to port (got a pic of it on my album). i put in one 12" kicker shallow mount with 700 watts going to it and it pounds.
