Cause yours is a better truck. Its made with steel instead of plastic. Whats wrong with a heavy truck? Id rather know im stickin to the road instead of floating like i would in a yota

Actually i did. The point i am trying to make is who cares that its heavy. Its a truck i want my truck to stay on the road not glide through the air.

The actual point is that they arent that heavy and are in fact lighter than the newer trucks.

I can assure you your truck won't glide through the air.

Before my mods on my truck, with exception to the plow frame mount on the front, my truck weighed 5616 lbs. That was without me in it and a full tank of gas.

My 98 reg cab 4.6/5speed tips the scales at 4100ish with me and a full tank.
I still have the spare tire and winch, heavy 99 lightning chromies, and I'm about 250.

At least there is something to be said for now power locks, power windows, and carpet! Lol
