I don't hate chrome, and in stock amounts or rarer cases of mods done right, it looks either OK or pretty good.

that said, I'm not the hugest fan. not hating, I like chrome when done the right way on the right truck. thing is, it's hard to do the right way in my eyes. I see a few trucks I like it one......most are alright, but when done to excess it's awful. like you said, the right amount.

but it's not really for me....

I just like a black and/or a PTM theme better. just my personal opinion/taste. I think black, especially a tasteful painted gloss black, or PTM, or better yet a mix of both, will beat chrome right out in most cases. not all though. and I like a polished look in some cases, instead of real chrome.

all depends on the truck. don't hate it, just not my preference or what I'd be driving around with. some trucks look great with it.

just my opinion.

I love chrome in moderation. I feel the chrome package that ford offers for our years is the perfect amount. I feel like we have silent supporters on this forum who don't speak up about liking chrome for fear lf the backlash from the people who only like plastidipping and blackingt(which I also think can look awsome IF done correctly).

Also, chrome isn't only for old people. Not gonna give my exact age but I'm under 30 but out of highschool.

IDK, there's just too much up front, it's not balanced.

If you like it, keep it.

No offense taken by any comments of course guys! I like structured criticism, nothing wrong with that!

And I definitely agree that some colors just don't fit with chrome. If I had red/white/blue I would prolly black it out too.

I think red and chrome does have potential. I know your going for the red and black look, but i think your truck could pull it off with the chrome if you change the taillights.

I don't get the war on chrome either. Everything all blacked out looks like a glorified work truck, it a shame to see a lariat or platinum plasti dipped until it looks like a base model XL. Why not buy an XL and add luxury items VS ruining all the chrome you payed extra for.

I love a balance of chrome and black. Enough chrome to make it sexy, enough black to make it mean. I like chrome wheels with a little black, PTM grille surrounds with chrome inserts, and black lights. That's what I've tried with my truck.

The chrome would also look better if you had the silver trim on the bottom sides of the car. For me, that trim is really the determining factor for chrome looking good on these trucks.

In all honestly, I dont really like black rims. Thats a lot of black going on with the tires and wheels both being black. I think there should be some chrome or polished aluminum to help contrast with the tires. Like I like the black with chrome accents, or even the chrome with black accents, just not full on black.
