%Thunk% sound wtheck?
I've started to notice an intermittent thunk coming from the front of my Supercrew. It does "sometimes" when I'm stopped at a light as I take my foot off the break and press the accelerator.
I think I've noticed it when I put it into reverse but that could have just been my imagination.
On all 4's everything is tight, with no slop. I'm thinking either breaks or a CV. There is no Shimmy or shake at any 0-75MPH. (As fast as I've ever needed it to go.)
There is no loss of power or engine issues.
I'll update the thread when I take it apart to inspect. Do any of you truck guys know the sound or reminded of a common problem that this sounds like?
Thanks,
Nerd

To honest, I'm having the same issue with mine. So, I would like to know also. If thats the case, I'd be leaning more towards CV axles. I just recently put new pads and rotors on mine.

slip joint? I had this issue with my old F150. I just lubed it and it stopped.

I have a similar issue, if not the exact same thing. I replaced the u joints on my rear driveshaft a few weekends ago thinking that would solve the problem...it didn't. IIRC, I lubed the front driveshaft yoke a while back while working on another project, and I think that took care of the sound for a while.
