Exclamation Rusted, Peeling Torsion bars

hey everyone,

i think i have a problem...

i was rinsing salt off of my truck and knelt down to rinse the underside of my truck and i saw a HUGE *** chunk of paint chipping off of my torsion bars!! and the rust underneath the paint flake that looks like that sucker has been brewing for a while. im 90% certain that they are solid bars so they wont rust out but is this an urgent issue? ill take pics tomorrow

This is happening to mine too, eventually ill prolly sand them a bit and repaint them. I think part of the reason that this happens is because the bars are always flexing and unflexing while your driving, along with the salt and other things that can corrode them.

Default dude!!

its gonna rust or peel or chip if you dont rinse or clean it, i went to autozone and bought 4 truck ramps to pull up on, and a badass pressure washer a long time ago to prevent that from happening, all you gotta do is pressure wash your undercarrage, it just sucks kneeling under it and pressure washing everything!! but the car ramps help a lil, thats what i do, cause i mud bog all the time
