Default front end help!

So I opted out of getting a new truck and just dump a couple of grand over the next few months on ole faithful. I can't just yet get rid of her...anyway, I needed new tires and found a great deal on some 18x9 moto metals. I wanted to keep around the same size tire on the new wheels as I have on my stock 17's. I was thinking about 285/65/18 or something similar. I wanted to level the truck via torsion bars but wanted to also replace all the front end parts as well. Starting with the front shocks, I went to 4wheelparts and they pointed out the pro comp 9000 series.. They said that was the only option for my truck with 2" of lift. Anyone have any experience with this? I also was wondering if I should beef up any of the front end parts with cranking the torsion bars. I wanted to replace everything..tie rods, control arms, pitman arm, sway bar links, etc. And I came across this.. http://m.1aauto.com/suspension-kit-f...h2UaAgl28P8HAQ ..too cheap? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

4 wheel parts wants to push you on ProComp stuff becuase that is their brand. Not saying procomp is bad, but there are other shocks available...

I would try to get Moog parts, they are very reasonably priced @ http://www.rockauto.com/

All of those parts are cheap, price wise. Moog really is the best, my upper control arm was 2-3" thicker and wider than stock, but 2 with the ball joint was about the price of that whole kit.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll def look into Moog. 4wheelparts guy suggested them too. I know they're expensive, but what do y'all think about the fox racing shocks?

Are you planning on jumping it or leaning into corners going 70? xD

Not worth it imo, unless its for bragging rights.

Ya never know when an opportunity might arise.. Just kidding. She sees Mostly highway, with an occasional hunting trip down some pretty rough roads. I just really want the most comfortable ride on some shocks that will accommodate 2-2 and a half inches of lift. But I have a feeling I'm asking too much. I have the rancho rs5000 series on now and they are horrible. But my wife had em installed at pep boys and I have a feeling that might be a factor

Update: just finished cranking the tbars and got them to about 23 1/2" give or take a 1/16th. The passenger side was about a whole half inch lower than the drivers side. What's the deal with that? And I had to crank quite a few full turns to get them to be just at what they are now. I noticed there's not a lot of threads left on the tbar bolt. Anyone in the same boat? I don't wanna be maxed out but I thought I remember reading that you could go up to24 1/4". Am I wrong? Oh and will this cause more rubbing? Passenger side rubs on the upper control arm a good deal now but I'm thinking its because they're worn out. I also got new tires, my old nitto trail grapplers 285/70/17 didn't rub at all and now I have Goodyear duratracs same size and they rub. Any input? PS. Taking the truck tomorrow morning for an alignment and front end replaced and new FOX shocks. Yeah dopewaffle I'm bragging

I love my Bilstein 5100's on my Jeep. I would consider these if your willing to spend more money, they are comparatively expensive though.

I like the KYB monomax's on my truck, much cheaper than the Bilsteins and still a monotube shock. It certainly rides rough compared to the Jeep, but its cranked on 33's near max with almost no droop (P/O did that) and the Jeep is 11 model years newer with only 1.5" lift on 32's so its apple and oranges.

Yeah but what else comes in that kit?

Those should be far and away the most expensive part. The lower ball joints, end links (like $5), and tie rod ends are not very expensive in the MOOG brand. You'd probably spend $25-50 going with all MOOG from Rockauto, and that would be worthwhile IMHO.

ANOTHER UPDATE: I just got her back from the shop last night. She feels like a race car! Well compared to before. But, the passenger side is still rubbing.. And I was completely wrong it was not rubbing on the control arm, I dunno what I was thinking. I believe its a piece to the sway bar. Any info? Should I break out the grinder?
