As long as you don't over crank everything's fine.. Alot of people think its the aftermarket keys that mess everything up when the only thing that will wear anything out is if you crank them too much..aftermarket keys make it so you can level your truck our without maxing out the stock keys and putting alot of stress.. Stock are worse to crank because they're cast keys.. Aftermarket are forged the only way you'll hurt anything is if you over crank. But that applies to stock and aftermarket

Actually there is more stress applied to the torsion bars with aftermarket keys than with stock keys.

Aftermarket keys allow you to crank further ( not recommended ) other than that they won't hurt your truck any more than stock keys. Just don't over crank.. That's the only thing that will put stress because if you over crank it's in a bad angle.. Other than that of you just level it your fine.. There's no difference most people Stick with stock to save money and frown on aftermarket because they "allow " you to over crank but that doesn't mean you have to. Anyone else have pics with 285s?

I have installed numerous sets of aftermarket keys. They put more tension on the torsion bars in these truck. I run mine 1/4 inch above the the bolt stop. Which is 1" below factory for my truck and the front of my truck sits 1.5" about stock. And my torsion bars are showing signs of being over preload in just the 2 yrs they have been on the truck.

I only thought about procomp because they make decent products and I had heard good things about readylift. I am only getting new keys because my stock ones dont allow me to level my truck. I have 33s and thats as big as I am going to go so I wont have to worry about any crazy angles.
