Default What is this part called?

Hey guys,
Wondering if someone can help me identify this part on my truck. Antifreeze is leaking from it and making a real mess.

Thanks!

Just found a video on youtube where a guy had to remove the entire intake manifold just to replace the gasket on this part... which I realized is called a Thermostat crossover housing. Looks like I'll be making an appointment with my mechanic :-)

Sometimes the intake is actually cracked and has to be replaced.

99.98% of time

It's a simple job. Get oem manifold and gaskets.
other things need attention.....change plugs while have access. Maybe hard to get to coils too. Heater pipe under manifold......I replaced it and orings
..others bypass it..

Paying a mechanic will add ...several hundred $ at least.

All you need to know, is this is why it leaks...... Plastic channel that holds gasket eventually cracks and fails.

Heres both sides of mine at 285k....only 1 side leaked
