Default what oil you use?
ok my dad has always run 20w 50 castrol gtx in my truck and now that iv been on my own for a while would t be bad to switch back to like 5w 30 GTX?

oh and what oil do u use?

Your truck called for 5W30 and was later revised to 5W20. Switching back to the correct oil should not harm it.

Default Good Advice:
I'd suggest Mobil 1 High Mileage in either 5W30 or 0W30.

i run the castrol gtx 5w20.sticking to the recommended viscosity of your engine oil will not hurt.
