What kind of oil do you use?

Hmm, seems like alot of people use the motorcraft oil filter. Is there something I don't know and those filters are super-high-quality? Or would a Fram Tough Guard be good?
Also, should I go synthetic or conventional? Just about to do my first oil change on this truck, its a 2002 F-150 4.6 with 121,000.

Hmm, I've always used Frams in everything, and never had a problem before. I even have the number memorized, PH8A or TG8A depending on regular or Tough Guard. I'll have to think about it now, I always figured the Frams filtered better and were more efficient than OE.

5w20, as it calls for.
No idea why you would run anything else besides that...in warm or cold temps. Do you really think you are smarter than the engineers at Ford and know what is better for your truck? They design engines for efficiency and longevity. Using diff spec oil because it's thicker/thinner depending on climate is not needed.
We're not running an engine from the 50's or 60's. This is high tech stuff.
