You will definitely rub 33's with 20x12's with no lift. 33's with the 3.5" might work

Look around well before you commit to 20" wheels. My opinion: 20" wheels don't look good on the 10th-gen trucks. They just don't "fit." My '03 had 20" chrome wheels on when I bought it, and I couldn't wait to go back to 17's.

Just my $.02.

Yes, he gave you false hope! Those aren't 20x12's..... width KILLS turning. push out 33's -44 and you'll rub. Let me put it into perspective for you. I ran the setup, and just about every setup that has to do with width. I rubbed a good bit on a 4x4 with a level, which is about the same as a 2wd with 3.5" lift. Trust me I know a thing or two about stance...I've yet to see a truck on here wider lol.

Agreed, I don't think 20" wheels look good on anything quite frankly. Unless you have tires that would warrant a rim that big, then it is just a waste and a PITA for the guys at the tire shop.

I have 18" wheels on my truck right now, and honestly, I think they look fine.
They're also black and are "revolver" style, which helps make them look smaller than what they are.

Another thing I want to note, getting 12.5in wide tires and rims on my old chevy was the biggest mistake I ever made. It floated down the road everywhere and was sketchy to drive. Wide tires don't fit in the ruts that small cars and trucks make on the highways. Remember that.... I will NEVER go back to them. I draw the line at 11.5in wide, at the absolute maximum, unless you have a legitimate reason to go wider. Otherwise, the truck will be all over the road and unpleasant to drive.
