What did you do to your 10th gen today?

If you have a ratcheting open end wrench, the back bolt on the motor is a lot easier to get to. I think they are 5/16 (or 8mm) if I remember right.

Finished up the brakes. Not 100% happy with everything but it'll do for now. Should finally be on the road next weekend! Plan on driving short trips to work all the bugs out.

It's not too bad.... as long as you don't have a center console. I had to pull the console in my Expedition when I replaced the motor..... talk about a PITA

Driving the wheels offer
Today I started my rockers, doors, and cab corners project. Removed the seats and vinyl flooring and started cutting out rot.
Removed the rear end and pressure washed it in preparation for a full rebuild, new gears and trac-loc.discovered the passenger side axle bearing surface is really eaten up.

How did you realize, was it growling real bad ? Is that a 975 or 88? Trying to decided whether to rebuild my 98's or find another with low miles.
Surprisingly it wasn't making much noise, it has 275k on it so I thought it was time. I was really surprised how bad the bearings were in it. I could barely turn the pinion by hand even without the carrier in it. It's a 9.75 btw.
