It's cool as hell. Props on the legit OEM looks. I couldn't do it. I love my tech. Give me something other than my daily and I'd be all over it.

Replaced my battery today.

The one that I took out I got when I started working on the truck trying to get it running.
It is a little over 4 years old, and 4 years is about what I usually get out of them.
It sits at ~12.3 v in the morning before I start it, and drops to ~9.8 - 9.9 v when cranking, so it is still within spec, but I am doing some long distance traveling with the family in the next few weeks, so don't want to have to worry about it.

May try to sell the old one on craigslist for $30 or so since it is still "good", if not, I will just return it for the core.

You test that with a volt meter, or do you have a gauge installed? Installing a gauge was on of the nicest additions I've done. It stays lite so I constantly know where I'm at.

It's either 11.4 or 11.6 volts from cold start. That's from the good book anyway. I would just core it, I think it's what $15 now with purchase.
I went with a 10 year battery in the truck last time, it's coming up on year 8. They have gone 12 years confirmed. Well one has anyway from another member who's posts I trust lol.

But yea they cost a little bit and it's not worth the price for most who don't know if they will be keeping the truck that long. Think I paid a little over 200 for that battery. Probably the cheapest really good battery you can buy. It's was the Sears Diehard Platinum but they don't make them anymore. You have to go to Odyssey directly to get them now, or -

Other than that, your pretty much limited to the cheaper Johnson controls batteries who makes all the cheaper units now a days at more than half the cost. They are good enough for most...something like an Interstate bat or what not.

Well it's FINALLY started. The powder process has finally begun. Really in love with this color. Tomorrow the truck gets torn down to anything I can get off. What did you do to your 10th gen today?-photo913.jpg
