Stock? I'm pretty sure DOT requires amber reflective side markers up front, and red in the rear. I wouldn't think Ford could've gotten away with not having amber up front (unless they added a reflector elsewhere?)

If you have an orange incandescent bulb in the housing the reflection of the bulb color in the reflector bowl is enough to get by and still meet the DOT requirement

I don't think any of the Harley/lightning's came with black headlights. DEPO who makes the good replicas make black replicas with these clear lenses. They stopped production a few years ago, and if you find them now it's old stock, or used.

Was gonna try to find an alternative, but the adapter plate is easiest option. Got a friend checking some sources.
