Today I swapped out the fuel filter. Razenfrazendrappinfrackin' front line did *not* want to let go!

Also adjusted up the parking brakes so they will actually hold the truck now. I have no idea why those things seem to constantly go out of adjustment. Happened on my '99 and now on this one, too.

That's the day I'm going to dread lol. Hopefully that day doesn't come any time soon if it does.

I believe the auto adjust is actuated by use of the parking brake only. I never use my parking brake here in Florida. We commonly adjust them for customers manually.

I never use mine, they don't last long in MI. Winter/Salt, lucky to get one good season. I suppose I could modify it to last longer, -never got into the habbit of using it though....it's like voodoo or the hex of Great lake state living.

Right lol..exactly. That's the way they end up on other trucks or mine if I left it. I deleted the problematic parts like that long ago. Too many adverse effects. It a Michigan truck in every way.

We'll, since they should never wear, I've no idea why they'd end up loose in the first place unless the cable stretched (which I suppose is possible).

That's exactly what happens, just like throttle cables. They stretch over time

I've never had a single issue with my parking brake on the other hand, and I use mine every single time I park the truck and it holds the truck in place, it won't move.

Though the difference with mine is that it uses the entire rear brake system since I've got rear drum brakes.

... which *do* self-adjust with use.
