I'm glad I bought moog. I'm hoping to get away with all new parts for nothing

Did advance give you any issues when you tried to exchange all the old stuff?

Why did you have to do the pinion bearings again? Bad preload?

Nope early 9.75 that uses 8.8 front pinion bearing. It has a issue in the case. Its been a issue for a long time. Its the 5 time having to replace the pinion bearings. On top the rearend has been completely rebuilt 3 times. Each time was rebuilt with Motorcraft bearings.

I think I'd have looked into swapping in a later-build rear end by now.

First couple rebuild where still cheaper than buying a high mileage rearend and rebuilding it. So for $100 I can replace the bearing and have no issues for 25k-30k miles. Now I'm at the point where Ill be going other directions. Looking into going 6 lug. So trying to gather as much required information and things needed for the front. The rear will be easy. Rearend only require moving sping perches and a custom rear brake line.

I forgot you had a 97 or 98. That sucks, I remember trying to get out my pinion races, that was a pain in the dick.

Lol I thought you meant you took all your old moog suspension stuff back to advanced auto for a warranty trade for new stuff. That's what I plan on doing. I was wounding if advanced auto let you trade it all in for new stuff without any problems. Supposedly moogs warranty is lifetime.
