Yeah it definitely is. It used to be harder to get to the filter before I put the lift on but I've changed the oil 3 times sense the lift has been on and I haven't spilled more than a few drops from the filter. Now when I take the oil drain plug out it makes a huge mess of oil because the oil stream lands right on the new crossmember and just shoots out in every direction. Changing the oil really sucks on these trucks.

Right? You would think they would of designed it better. There is a special place in hell for whoever made them so hard to get too!

It's the engineer's only chance at fun.
The guys at Porsche used wood for the bottom of the battery box in 928s, just for fun.

Haha they just all have little tweaks they do to make it more weird and sometimes harder than it needs to be!

My first thought

I guess a flatbed on a half ton doesn't do it for me

Thanks man! It has been a fun project. Learned a lot, and still a lot to go until "finished".

hahaha. I totally understand. One of the reasons I am building it is because nobody would sell me one. They all looked at me like I was insane. It just makes sense for what I use it for. That, and I needed a new bed anyway.

Just a little rust....
