Of course the truck hasn't been playing well the last few days with lots of stupid issues popping up. I'm actually pretty nervous about the trip. I was supposed to have tore the truck apart already and start the build but the wife threw this trip into the mix. :0/

It drives mostly fine but the HVAC has been acting up and it seems like it's lost some power. Probably due to the Fan clutch being engaged so often.

Not to mention the OIl leak that I tried slowing down with Lucas oil. (Not one of my finer moments.)

...at least I've go fresh Jerky for the trip. :-)
Fresh jerky is aleays good. It takes all of 20 minutes to change out the fan clutch if you have the time. The lucas oil shouldn't have hurt it. I tried it in mine a couple of weeks ago... it didnt hurt anything, but it didnt help either.

The trucks been running much better and oddly I'm only down less than a half quart in 400 miles. I can't believe Lucas is responsible but I have no other explanation. Nothing else has changed. I've made this trip 6 times in the last 2 years and I would always be down 1.5 quarts by now.

I Didn't need to run the A/C at all and I'm getting in the realm of 13.5 mpg. Not bad for towing a uhaul box trailer I guess. I'm probably going to cry after the mods and I start towing a fifth wheel, lol.

Ordered 5" rough country lift. Anyone know if I can run 35x13.50s without having to do any major cutting?

I'm gettin new wheels. 16x10s probably these ones so that shouldn't be an issue I don't think. Just curious if I'll be rubbing anything if I go with 13.50s

If you have atleast -12 offset you won't rub the t bars, you'll probably have to trim your valance a little.
