People don't realize it,but if you keep those lights on at night it helps. The on coming lights don't blind you as bad,I've got mine wired to a switch and hate driving without them

More spendy than a new transmission?

I think the adaptor for a cummins to a powerstrokes trans was over a grand you can possibly find one cheaper since it will be for something with a lot less torque but they are machined billet aluminum so usually they are never cheap I expect at least 500 or more for a good quality one that would bolt right up.

Default Hunting

Just got back from a long weekend hunting. Put over a 1,000 miles on my 2002 king ranch. Had a blast.

Getting read for my first long haul Tow. We're taking an empty Uhaul Trailer back up to Michigan to get the MIL and bring her back down.

Of course the truck hasn't been playing well the last few days with lots of stupid issues popping up. I'm actually pretty nervous about the trip. I was supposed to have tore the truck apart already and start the build but the wife threw this trip into the mix. :0/

It drives mostly fine but the HVAC has been acting up and it seems like it's lost some power. Probably due to the Fan clutch being engaged so often.

Not to mention the OIl leak that I tried slowing down with Lucas oil. (Not one of my finer moments.)

...at least I've got fresh Jerky for the trip. :-)
