How do you manage to get below 10mpg normally ?

100 miles for ~12-13 gallons of gas is around 8 mpg. I am averaging about twice that.

Have you ever calculated your mileage or is that just going off the needle?

Something isn't right there

The needle means nothing

Although if you want to use the needle as a real indicator of mpg, it looks like you got 100 mils out of 3/8 of a tank.. which is pretty bad to be honest.

The other 5/8s would yield ~165 miles, meaning you got 265 miles until you were on E. Of course there is a couple gallons left in it once you're on E, but still, that's very poor mileage.
I was barely getting over 200 when I first got my truck

I can get anywhere from 6 to 15,depends on how you drive. When I'm on dirt roads slinging it around,I can get as low as 6. When I brought it home being easy on it,going 55 the whole way on an open back road I got 15ish.
