Went and bought some new front shocks.
I got some cheapie Monroe Gas Magnums for $60 for the pair from Advance Auto with a coupon code. Was debating between the Monroe Gas Magnums and Sensa Track, but read on several forums the Sensa track (and Reflex model too) sometimes have issues in trucks due to the front end weight. Everywhere I read said the Monroe Matic (like $24/shock before discount code) are total garbage on a truck and wear out in a few months, so I figured the Magnums were what I wanted.
Hopefully these firm up my front end a little. It feels a little too soft for me (but I am used to a smaller car with a much tighter suspension). Not wanting anything crazy, just something not as bouncy. I know when I changed the rears (got some almost new Gabriel Ultras for $10) it made no difference that I could tell.
Regardless, the ones on it are probably factory, so with 169,000 miles on them it is time to replace them.
If it does not rain tomorrow (it is supposed to) I will put them on. I was debating spray painting them black so they don't stick out too much, but you really can't see them anyway (but if it rains I may do that instead).
