Someone go start a thread about what wax you use (on your truck, not your women) and how well it works

My paint looks like crap lol it's not chipping anywhere except for a small spot on the roof that's got surface rust now and a few small spots on the edge of the wheel wells but it just doesn't shine very much, even though I just waxed it.

Wax is more of a protecting barrier, then a shine enhancer. The best way to bring out that shine is to clay bar, then with a buffer hit it with some rubbing compound, then use a synthetic sealant to protect that shine. A sealant is better then an actual wax, as it is further enhanced to withstand the elements. Ive been using Meguiars Tech Wax 2.0 for awhile now, but I am going to try Adams Polishes next, as Ive heard good things about their products.

As in a powered buffer? And what exactly is rubbing compound? Lol I am just about clueless when it comes to stuff like this.

In my opinion, using a clay bar (more than once a year) doesn't do all that much except take a lot of work and time.

If you want to make a dull truck shine, you should polish it. But you should probably clay bar it before you polish it. Then wax it after you polish it. It will be a long, grueling day.
