I don't think I've ever seen black L headlights in a chrome surround. Not bad!

Replaced my battery terminals and part of the cables. Had started to get a lousy connection that would require me to jiggle the (+) terminal to regain connection. Wasn't too concerned until one time abs lighted flashed, odometer wouldn't work, overhead console wouldn't work, and starting losing power to fuel pump. .... problem is now solved!

Also this may have fixed my random rough start problem too. Fingers crossed but only time will tell

I'm thinking a 3 in lift might be in store in the future, and 1900 lb leaf springs and expedition brakes

I say with love, but screw you guys in the South.

I spent last week in and around Myrtle Beach with the family and saw many (probably hundreds) of 10th gen trucks on the road... all with little to no rust whatsoever. I met one nice guy in the parking lot at a Pelicans game and I asked to look underneath his '02 SCREW. Not a spot of rust to be found anywhere. And this was not a show truck, just his daily. I'm very jealous.

Haha, my truck has traveled all over, so it has some rust. But she's happy to be living in the south now!

I've got a friend in Canada who was looking to buy a "good southern car" from Illinois. I guess a good southern car is relative to where you live, I would never buy a used vehicle that has been subjected to multiple Illinois winters.

funny, that puts me in mind of an old DRW 1 ton Chevy I found for sale in Texas recently, a 1992 to be exact. Truck was from Illinois no less, and the body needed a good bit of work and the frame needed a rebuild. my fist thought was good luck selling that in texas. Only 92K miles, clean interior. They did suggest using her for a drive train donor.

I don't know what part of Canada your friend is from, I'm gonna assume relatively close to Illinois to be looking there. there's few provinces in Canada that will yield much cleaner machines than Illinois.....

I paid my dues living in NE Ohio most of my life. The '99 I bought which came from down south started to show evidence of rust after only a few winters, and eventually lost its rockers almost completely to the "disease." Wrenching on that truck was not much fun, either. Even bolts in the engine compartment were hard to deal with.

By comparison, my '03, which has lived here in CO it's entire life, has just some surface hazing underneath for the most part, so I guess you can send your "screw you's" out this way, too.

Most of these trucks that I've seen in FL have been spotless. Even the ones sitting in the junk yard are clean. I couldn't imagine having to deal with the northern rust issues.

Ha I just noticed my passenger rocker is officially gone. There's a shoe sized hole... I'll get pics later
