I picked up an x4 tuner for 150.
Now an XLT in Colorado

Interesting, I thought the EP27 was supposed to slow it down?

It did (they no longer "hyper-flash"), but the cycle rate is a little faster than stock - just enough that I think it's too fast. Someone else might not be bothered by it.
I found THIS WRITE-UP on modifying the factory flasher unit. It would probably be fine if one were to change all the lights to LED (and never pull a trailer with standard bulbs), but I think putting a small(er) wire in place of that shunt bar could result in heat/smoke/fire otherwise. Maybe just making that shunt smaller, though, would work (as another poster indicated they did).

I was able to pick it up for $150 and it has done what I asked it to do. I wouldn't pick one up for fuel mileage or performance reasons but that is just me. I have larger than factory tires and really wanted my speedometer, odometer, and shift points where they were supposed to be. In that concern this thing has done wonderfully. The shifts between 1st and 2nd took too long and i had a slow shift between 3 and 4 so I increased the line pressure and now it feels so much better. For those reasons it was definitely worth the money.
