What did you do to your 10th gen today?

Sigh not today but the other day I noticed someone finally kicked thru the Rust on the passenger side rocker. Bought a 4" Long 1/4" wide slit... added to the half dollar size hole on the bottom of the rocker and silver dollar sized Rust bubble on the driver rear door.

This was my '99 just before I sold it. I was able to make things look better for a couple years using a few layers of aluminum duct tape. The shine dulled down to a point that it almost matched the silver lowers.
In the end though, there wasn't much left for the tape to stick to.

Yesterday, I drove the truck ~5-1/2 hours home with a bad (stuck) fan clutch.
Tonight, I pulled out the less-than-three-month-old Murray unit and put the old OEM clutch back in.
Tomorrow, the Murrray unit is going back to O'Reilly's for a refund.
I'd replaced the original one as a "preventative measure" when I swapped in the '99 radiator.
So much for that being a good idea.

Hayden is the only brand of fan clutch that I've had good luck with.

Got ya. I thought maybe it was some punk screwing with your truck. I'd go nuts if I had rust like that. There is a 10th gen around the corner from me that's riddled with it. It has to be a transplant from another state. We just don't get that kind of rust down here.
