The way it should be done is if there is a tie, then those vehicles count as the places after them.
So in your case, the 3 way tie (all first place ) takes the first 3 places, then the next place (you) would be 4th.
Or if you were tied for second (with a single first place), there would be no 3rd place, just 4th place.

I am not trying to take anything away from you or your truck, it is just an odd way to do it.

Love your truck, not my thing but it's great what you're doing to it.

I see your point, but it becomes a waste of awards at that point. It's a weird way of doing it. It's the first time I've seen it done that way, though it does make sense.

Sort of. It's a bit unfair not on my end, but theirs. They all received even scores for very nice trucks. Why should one receive higher placements for the exact same score? I don't go to shows for awards, as I don't expect to win them. It's a welcome prize, but nothing I'll fuss about. I can see why they did this, as to eliminate that problem, as I'm sure they knew it'd be one.

Don't know if I like this yet. The gauge is dead until I change the oil. I may need to redo it. I'm wanting three gauges there. Oil pressure, water temp and air pressure.

Oil pressure, water temp, and what?

The gauge's trim ring looks like it's sticking out past the housing a bit. Can you recess the plate a little? Also, three 2-16" gauges might be cramming it a bit. What about 1.5" units?

EDIT: I assume you mean outside air temp. I thought the area below that where you have the gauge wa the factory compass/air temp, but I see it's just a block off plate. That sux.

I also realized the gauge is *not* extending past the rim of the housing. That just might work after all, but I'd probably still look for 1.5" gauges (or go with only two).

..

I finally got my "A" pillar triple gauge pod in. I also changed out my volt gauge to match the new gauges. Water Temp, Trans Temp, Oil Pressure and Volt gauge. I used a oil filter adapter for the oil pressure sending unit, a 1/8 extension on the trans temp on the test port and a 1/2 to 1/8 adapter in the x-over on the intake for water. So if someone is interested, I have a autometer arttic white 2 1/16 volt gauge laying around.
